I can’t believe it’s really happening. I couldn’t be more excited to get the 7 gorgeous ladies of Cambridge Dance Company together for the first time and dance our hearts out. A year ago I never would have thought I’d be here, but now that I am I wouldn’t have it any other way. Last week, I was in the studio working on some new choreography and for the first time since college, I felt really free. Free to follow my body to the music and let it take me somewhere new. I felt challenged–on the edge of something new and ready to just let go and dive in. I’m not sure that what I came up with that day will even make it on a stage, but I can’t wait to tweak it and play with it until it becomes something more than just movement. The beauty of working with this new, refreshed group of talented women is that I know they trust me. I know I can push them and they’ll be happy I did. And if I make something that doesn’t work, they’ll be happy I tried and be ready to try again. I feel like I’m buzzing I’m so excited. Bring. it. on. 3 days!
