Dear Friends,

I am delighted, thrilled, honored and just pleased as punch to announce the selection of Kristin Green as the new Artistic Director of Cambridge Dance Company.  As a long-standing, highly regarded member of the Company, Kristin brings a deep knowledge of our roots, culture, and capabilities, as well as areas for development.

It was important to me to ensure that Kristin, former Artistic Director Katie Rotio, the Company, and the Board of Advisors were all aware of and part of the decision-making process.  The discussions, input and feedback have been very thoughtful and positive.

As you will see tonight, Kristin lights up the stage when she performs; this energy and passion permeates everything and everyone she touches. She exudes a natural confidence, easily connects with people, and inspires us all to step up to new challenges.

I believe wholeheartedly that she is the right person to build on our 6 year legacy, and I am excited and grateful for what lies ahead.

Sincerely,

Jessica Goepfert

Dear Friends,

I’m so honored and excited to step into the Artistic Director role for Cambridge Dance Company. Dance has always been my passion, my love, and my north star. I’m so fortunate for the opportunity to join this company five years ago.

I’ve always loved to be part of the creative process and have a strong vision for where I see the company going. My main goal for the upcoming year will be to bring the company back to its roots – where most of our work is focused in Jazz and Contemporary. I’d like to see the company focused on technical pieces so we can continue to grow individually and as a company. We have a wide range of backgrounds and strengths across the company, so I’d like to use this to our advantage as we plan what pieces make it to the big lights next year.

I’m thrilled to bring the energy up in rehearsals and have the girls leave everything on the dance floor each time we get together. This group is family, and we’re going to do some pretty amazing things. We’re blessed to be doing what we love together, and supporting our local communities with our love for dance.

Sincerely,

Kristin Green
